Clarence Creager Crisler 蒯思樂 (1877-1936)

Basic biographical data
 Born May 25, 1877 at Brooklyn, IA, USA; died March 28, 1936 in China.

Parents: Father Levi Hatten Crisler and mother, Sarah Jane Crisler.

Education: Graduated from Battle Creek College in 1897.

Marriage:  In 1905 he married Carolyn Hathaway with whom he had a daughter. In 1910 the two parted. He then married Minnie Hawkins.

Career: 1897 to 1901 he was private secretary in G.C. office to O.A. Olsen, G.A. Irwin, and A.G. Daniels. 1901 to 1915 he was secretary to E. G. White. From 1916 to 1929 he was the general secretary of the Far Eastern Division. 1930 to 1936 he became the secretary of the new China Division.

Publications: He wrote two books, China's Borderlands and Beyond, and Organization, Its character, purpose, place, and development in the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
